You might not want to use it every day.
Since this was going on my face, I was extra-careful to follow ALL the directions. I put a test spot on my face for the 8 minute minimum directed for normal use. (The instructions didn't specify a time for the test patch.) I noted that, after 8 minutes, no hair was removed, so I figured I needed to go perhaps the full 10 minutes when it came time to do the whole face. I waited the 24 hours, and had no adverse reaction. I put it on all over and covered thoroughly and thickly. I noticed a slight tingle I did not remember from the test patch, but it was not unpleasant, so I waited almost ten minutes before wiping off. The wash-cloth hurt quite a bit as I wiped it off my face. The vast majority of my facial hair was removed cleanly. Only one area of my chin and the areas along the edge of my lips seem to have somehow remained unaffected. I'm assuming the unaffected areas had poor coverage. There was no visible damage to the majority of my skin, but it felt a bit raw. IAnd, the small area from the test patch was a bit red and felt particularly raw. When I showered, my face stung a lot worse, but that went away after I dried. There was no way I was going to put more of the cream on right then, so I fixed the unaffected spots with a razor. A day later now, the test spot is still hurting, though the bulk of my face is only slightly tender at worst. From this, I've concluded that the cream should NOT be used every day. Fortunately, my face is also pretty darned clear of stubble, so 2 or maybe even 3 days between chemical shaves seems practical.
Give your skin time to heal between shaves. Do this every day and I strongly suspect you will damage your skin.
This was the sensitive-regular mix. Extra strength may be far more harsh. I don't know. It's not available right now.
I would recommend this to a friend but tell him to be very careful and go to the trouble of figuring out the absolute minimum time required for his particular facial hair and skin. And, if it hurts, wipe it off.
Merchant Response:Thanks for your very thorough review. Everyone will react slightly differently to the product depending on their skin type. Some people cannot use depilatories at all (any depilatories) which is why we recommend the test. The regular strength is not strong enough for some people. It can be too harsh for others- those who cannot use depilatories at all.
